Planet Comicon 2015 Preview
I’ve been hard at work building new pieces for Planet Comicon, including some new fabric designs! It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Shown above are my new coin purses, which will debut (along with a ton of new designs) at Comicon.
I’ll have some wallets—both men’s and women’s. But that’s not all.
Eat Drink Stitch Happy Hours
I’ve also ventured into the wonderful world of hand embroidery, thanks to Kristen at Hey Paul Studios and her Embroidery 101 and her Eat Drink Stitch Happy Hours. If you’re in the KC area, I can’t recommend Kristen’s classes and her Happy Hours enough. They’re loads of fun! And great for all levels of embroidery experience. I’ve become an embroidering machine in the last couple of weeks. Take a look at some of my adventures:
I purchased all three of these hand embroidery patterns from Urban Threads. If you’re at all interested in hand embroidery and off-the-wall, funk-tastic patterns, you must check out their designs. They have machine embroidery versions of the designs too, if that’s your thing.
I’ll post some more previews of the awesome things I’m working on for Planet Comicon this year soon. Plus, stay tuned. There are some big changes coming to The Costume Wrangler’s Closet starting May 1st. This is going to be cool.
